I started counselling after reassessing my working life and defining what was important to me after my dad died, top of the list was working with and supporting people.
In my experience we all have very similar worries and concerns. What is fascinating are our different creative strategies and defences we have to cope with and manage these worries, concerns and difficult situations.
The counselling relationship offers the opportunity to understand thoughts, feelings, behaviour, how these impact relationships, what can go wrong and what can help. I offer a safe, warm and confidential space where time is given to understand and explore your difficulties, allowing your thoughts, feelings and choices to become clearer.
I believe in the individual’s capacity to gain awareness and with awareness comes the potential for growth and the ability to do things differently.
